Jon Voight joins the cast of Showtime's 'Ray'

Jon Voight and Elliot Gould have been added to the ensemble of Showtime pilot "Ray Donovan." Liev Schreiber has previously been cast in the lead role. Others set to appear include Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok and "Deadwood" alum Paula Malcomson. Voight will play Schreiber's father, Mickey Donovan, a newly freed ex-convict who heads to Los Angeles with suspicious intentions to reconnect with his estranged family. Gould will recur as Ray's mentor and confidante. "Ray Donovan," produced in-house at Showtime, was written by Ann Biderman ("Southland"). She will exec produce with Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff. Production is set to begin in a few months. Premise of the show centers around Donovan, who is asked to solved complicated and controversial problems among L.A.'s elite.
