The Raven Trailer Flies In

John Cusack has Poe better bluesWe got a glance at some footage from period action thriller The Raven at Comic-Disadvantage this season, and today the entire trailer is online at Apple for everybody to determine. The Raven finds John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe (yes, the guy behind The Pit and also the Pendulum, The Tell-Tale Heart along with other classics from the horror literary canon). He's contacted by detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) when a number of grisly killings appear, all apparently inspired through the writer's work. Initially, the attention of suspicion falls on him, but soon it's obvious the suspect is taunting Poe, searching to interact him inside a fight of wits which eventually ends up threatening the existence of his beloved Emily (Alice Eve).Directed by V for Vendetta's James McTeigue, a clip emits an absolute vibe of the period-set Seven, although it remains to appear when the finished product will get anywhere near to the standard amounts of David Fincher's masterpiece of crime cinema. With Brendan Gleeson, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Kevin McNally also within the cast, The Raven flutters into our movie theaters on March 9 the coming year.
